Demand for the Mustang was so high by 1966, all three of Ford's main production facilities were working full tilt. San Jose, California, Dearborn, Michigan, and  Metuchen, New Jersey were producing record numbers of Mustangs each day and on March 2, 1966, the millionth Mustang rolled out of the Dearborn facility, sparking a huge sales event the following April. At left is a FoMoCo postcard showing the busy workers at Ford's Dearborn plant in 1966.
